Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026 (effective October 12, 2026)
These Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the StrideUp mobile and web application (“StrideUp” or the “app”), which is operated by Ashvin Manoj (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the app.
Who May Use StrideUp
- Age requirement: you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. During registration you must enter your full date of birth (month, day, and year) so we can confirm your eligibility. We do not store the date itself.
- Accurate information: you must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it updated.
- Account security: you are responsible for keeping your password and account safe. Do not share your login with others.
- One account per person: don’t create an account for someone else without their consent, and don’t share or transfer accounts.
- Teens: if you are 13–17, please review these Terms and our Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before signing up.
Your Content and Data
You own the training logs, sleep entries, notes, saved gait analyses, and other content you add to StrideUp (“Your Content”). You give us permission to store and use Your Content to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content and for making sure you have the right to add it.
Athletes and Coaches
StrideUp has two roles. Coaches can create one team, generate an invite code, and assign workouts to team members. Athletes can join a team with an invite code and view their coach’s assignments.
- What coaches can see: a coach can see the name of each athlete on the coach’s team, whether the athlete logged a run today, and that athlete’s recent run log (about the latest 30 entries). Coaches cannot see an athlete’s sleep entries, saved gait analyses, AI chats, or pain check-ins.
- What athletes can see: athletes can see their teammates’ names, grades, and weekly mileage on leaderboards, unless a teammate has chosen to appear anonymously. They cannot see another athlete’s individual runs, sleep, gait, or chats.
- Coaches are responsible for the workouts and instructions they assign.
- Athletes are responsible for the accuracy of their own logs.
- Team membership is voluntary. Athletes can leave a team at any time in the Team tab, which ends the coach’s access to that athlete’s logs.
AI, Recovery, and Gait Tools
StrideUp includes an AI coach, pain check-ins, a recovery and physical-therapy library, and a gait analysis tool. These features are educational and motivational only.
- The AI coach and pain check-ins provide general guidance, not medical, nutritional, or psychological advice.
- Gait analysis is based on 2D video estimation processed on your device. Results are approximate and are not a professional biomechanical or medical assessment.
- The recovery library is general education for lower-body health and is not a substitute for evaluation or treatment by a licensed professional.
- If you have pain, an injury, or a health concern, stop running and consult a qualified coach, physical therapist, or medical professional.
- We do not guarantee that AI-generated or educational content is accurate, complete, or right for you.
Virtual Collectibles
StrideUp includes a gamified Sneaker Locker where you can earn virtual sneakers through training milestones and achievements.
- No real-world value: virtual sneakers have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for anything.
- Collectibles are tied to your account and are deleted if you delete your account.
- We may change, add, or discontinue collectible items, rarities, or the collection system at any time. No refund, compensation, or replacement is owed for changed or discontinued collectibles.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates these Terms.
- Harass, abuse, or intimidate other users, including coaches and teammates.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code or data from the app.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the app.
- Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or infringes on others’ rights.
- Circumvent age or access restrictions, or manipulate training data, achievements, or the sneaker locker through artificial means.
Accounts and Termination
- You can delete your account at any time in the app. Deletion permanently erases your data as described in our Privacy Policy and cannot be undone.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or to protect the app or other users.
- If you are a coach, deleting your account also removes your team, its roster, and its assignments. Athletes keep their own training logs.
Fees
StrideUp is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you before you are charged and give you a chance to decline.
Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that training recommendations, AI guidance, gait analysis, or recovery content will be accurate or suitable for you.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StrideUp and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to training decisions, injuries, or reliance on AI-generated or educational content.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in North Carolina, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and notify users in the app. Your continued use of the app after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
